noteClip Launches Beta Web Organization Service
By VentureWire Staff Reporters

NEW YORK -- NoteClip, formerly West Shore, announced the beta launch of its first product, the Web organization service noteClip. The service, which is integrated into Web browsers, can be used to take notes on any Web site, clip text and images from multiple sites, and store notes online. NoteClip said it will license the product to corporations whose employees conduct large amounts of online research. NoteClip received an undisclosed amount of Series A funding in July 2000 from Milstein Brothers Capital Partners and an individual investor. NoteClip was founded in April 1999 by Brad Shulman, Raymond Tizabi, Aitan Weinberg, and Michael Yoon. Mr. Shulman, who is CEO, was formerly marketing coordinator for Cox Interactive Sales and national account manager for Golden Screens Interactive Technologies. Mr. Tizabi most recently served as an equity research associate at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ); before DLJ, he had been a research assistant at Advest, a regional brokerage firm. CTO Mr. Weinberg was lead developer in the ease-of-use group at Bloomberg. Mr. Yoon served as head of the Monitor Systems Software group.
